EN This policy document, finalized in March 2024, aims to identify commitments related to LGBTI rights and equality necessary for Georgia’s European integration. To this end, Policy document_ENG focuses on the EU-Georgia Association Agreement, the Association Agreement Agenda for 2021-2027, the European Commission’s opinion on Georgia’s accession to the European Union, the 7th and 8th Association Council meeting, the report of the European Commission of 8 November 2023 and the 9 steps determined by the European Commission, the resolutions adopted by the European Parliament and the reports on the implementation of the association process.
The last part of the policy document contains the recommendations of Tbilisi Pride, which are essential to take nine steps set forth by the European Commission for Georgia, especially the 9th step, which is a prerequisite for initiating negotiations with Georgia on EU membership.
